The science of decision making for business (also called prescriptive analytics) has led to many successful industry applications in operations and supply chain domains. In this 22-minute webinar, we will focus instead on approaches to address the challenges that arise from applying decision science to more strategic, high-impact business decisions.   

About the presenter: Manoj Chari teaches business analytics at Elon University, where he also serves as the director of the Center for Organizational Analytics. Prior to joining Elon, he spent nearly two decades in the industry, primarily at SAS Institute where he was senior director in the Analytics R&D Division. In this role, he led a department which developed software for mathematical decision science, as well as provided consulting services to help SAS customers worldwide apply these methods to their business. Chari also worked at Otis Elevators where he led a data science team developing predictive maintenance models for elevator health. In 2020, he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) for outstanding leadership and career contributions to the practice of analytics and management sciences. He has a Ph.D. in operations research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
